Silver Linings by Caroline Fahey
Caroline Fahey, a senior in the Tisch Department of Photography & Imaging, has been interviewed by André-Naquian Wheeler for i-D Magazine.
The interview is titled "self-portraits by an unabashedly 'plus-size' photographer," and it expounds upon Caroline's thought process for her senior thesis project Silver Linings.
"The photos depict Fahey reckoning with the ups and downs we all experience with our bodies: confident one day, insecure the next, putting everything on display, then wishing we could hide ourselves. As Fahey attempts to argue with her candid shots, fatness does not have to be equated with shame or negativity. "
Silver Linings is currently on view in the Gulf + Western Gallery alongside other thesis projects from the class of 2017. The exhibition runs through May 22.
