Alum Marcia L. Allert (BFA Photography 1997) was named the new Director of Photography on October 17 at The Dallas Morning News.

Richard Prince Journal-isms reports Dallas Morning News Editor Mike Wilson was impressed by Allert after her first week on the job, saying in a staff note that Allert is "known as an outstanding visual journalist with a keen eye for images and a deep understanding of how to use them to their greatest effect online."

Over the last 18 years Allert has worked in the newsrooms of internationally renowned organizations including The Associated Press, ABCNews.com, The New York Times, and most recently The Daily Beast.

We thank Marcia Allert for her support of our seniors at our annual portfolio review and congratulate her on this exciting move.
