New Employee Onboarding

Keys

If your department needs additional keys for your new employee, please place a request to have keys cut with the Client Services Center at the following link: https://nyu.service-now.com/csmp. Please make sure that you are signed in with your NYU Home login (username and password) to ensure that all of your credentials are entered correctly into the ServiceLink form.

Click on the Locksmith and Key request tab to create a work order and please be sure to include the room number, cylinder number and any other pertinent information regarding the key request.

When the Locksmiths have completed your work order key request(s), you should then receive an email from the Client Services Center via ServiceLink informing you that your keys are ready for pick up. Keys can be picked up at 10 Astor Place, 5th Floor, Room 504C. Please ring the intercom button placed outside the 5th floor elevator lobby and someone will let you inside.

If your key request is unresolved, outstanding or has any other conflict or discrepancy, then please feel free to email your work order request information to our Facilities Administration team, and we will follow up with the NYU Locksmith Shop.

NYU ID Swipe Access

New employees are automatically granted swipe access to locations around NYU, including the turnstiles at 721 Broadway, 181 Mercer and 370 Jay Street. If they are needing access to specific card readers within your department, please reach out to the department administrators who manage those readers. If they need access to specific readers that lead into Tisch buildings, like the reader at 286 Mercer, contact Tisch Facilities when the new employee has picked up their NYU ID at Card Services. Swipe card access can only be arranged once the new hire has their ID in hand.
