Kathryn Gronsbell, New York Public Library, Fall 2012, IMLS
I had the incredible opportunity to intern during fall semester of 2012 in the Special Formats Processing – Audiovisual (SFP-AV) group, located in the Library of the Performing Arts at New York Public Library. Being a part of NYPL, even in a temporary position, allowed me to see how an organization of its size and reputation functioned on a day-to-day basis, how staff collaborated on projects, and how audiovisual content is handled at the Lincoln Center location. I am incredibly grateful and humbled by the opportunity to have worked with and for the committed NYPL staff who I had the pleasure to meet over the past few months.
