Filip Šír, Manager for Digitization of Sound Documents at the National Museum in Prague, will discuss his experience establishing a center for audio preservation at the the largest museum in the Czech Republic. Charting the center's growth from its tender first steps in a small library to its present state as a large-scale national project, Šír will explore the nuances of gaining support for an audio preservation project of this scale while also covering the history of the Czech Republic's National Sound Archive.
