Actress, singer, writer, producer, storyteller, engineer, businesswoman, April Jeffries has difficulty checking boxes to define her. Growing up in the projects of New York, she has intentionally used the wisdom of the streets to fiercely navigate the wisdom of the world. As a result, she wants to use her gifts to give deeper voice to under-represented communities and has done that through both business and art. Currently, Global President of her division at Ipsos, a market research firm based in Paris, she works with a team of talented researchers, ethnographers and film makers dedicated to including the voices of all people in decision making research. Recognizing that individual stories bring connection and respect to the greater human experience, April believes in the power of story from research participants, ethnographic videos, song, stage, spoken or written word. She is known in the research industry as an “empathy activist” highlighting her ability to focus on the strategic role for corporate purpose beyond profit and converses with experts as host of her podcast “Insight Out”. As an artist she is the featured vocalist and lyricist on her CD “Voices of Remembrance” and has co-written and portrayed unique characters in theatrical productions throughout NY. She has held several corporate leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies including Kraft Foods and Campbell Soup Co. April has earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
