From a small town in Iceland to New York City, Alumna Erla Skuladottir’s passion for drama and performance has evolved into a multi-faceted career.

Beginning in Paris, Erla studied theatre and mime under the tutelage of Jacques Lecoq and Ella Jarozcewitz. As her acting portfolio grew, too did her interests in expanding her talents. Erla returned home to work at the Icelandic National Broadcasting Station hosting radio programs, as well as, producing independent programs, particularly on children’s health diseases,

Upon moving to the Big Apple, Erla assisted a Tisch Graduate Film student, which sparked her decade spanning professional camera assistant career. Erla graduated from Tisch Graduate Film in 2002, and since, has written, directed and edited over 10 short films of narrative and documentary technique.
