Berlin Stanislavsky, Brecht, and Beyond Information Session

Join Undergraduate Drama arts professor, Kevin Kuhlke and a representative from Tisch Special Programs for a conversation about Stanislavsky, Brecht and Beyond: An Integrated Approach to Actor Training in Berlin.

Learn about this advanced spring study abroad program offered in affiliation with faculty from the world-renowned Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Berlin University of the Arts, and the internationally-acclaimed Berlin Schaubühne.

The curriculum will focus on the study and practical application of aspects of German theatre, as well as the integration of Russian-based Stanislavsky Method Physical Actions with Brecht’s Epic Theater, Brecht and Advanced Realistic scene study, classes with Gob Squad, Devised theater, Post Dramatic Theatre, movement, voice and rigorous actor-oriented Dramaturgical research.

The program will culminate with workshop performances of several short plays by Brecht. Students who are admitted to the spring Berlin program will also participate in the international FIND Festival.
