Shihan Tan is a director and cinematographer based in New York and Beijing. She was born in Beijing, graduated from University of St. Andrews with a psychology degree (MA) in Scotland, and is currently studying at NYU Tisch School of the Arts as a Grad Film candidate. Her feature script UNSEEN ISLAND was selected to enter the 3rd WANDA ELITE Script Competition, 2020 Film Project Promotion of Shanghai Film Festival, and Golden Rooster Film Festival. Her short film SECOND BIRTH was an official selection of Reel Sisters Film Festival and Shanghai International Short Film Week, and won Best Short Film in China International Women Film Festival.
