How to Forge a Career in Television Writing in Hollywood

NYU students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend a conversation with successful and Emmy-winning television creators, Bill Lawrence (Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Scrubs), Janine Sherman Barrois (Big Cigar, Claws, Self Made, Criminal Minds) and Chris Sheridan (Resident Alien, Family Guy) on their groundbreaking shows and innovative approaches to showrunning. The talk will include advice for new and emerging talent on the craft of TV writing and insights on what opportunities in the industry look like today. UGFTV faculty Lisa Payton and Marygrace O'Shea will moderate the discussion.
