DPI Alum Janna Ireland spotlights architect Paul Williams' legacy for NYTimes

In her NYTimes article "A Photographer Follows Paul Revere Williams Into the West", as well as her book, Regarding Paul R. Williams: A Photographer’s View, artist and DPI Alumna Janna Ireland explores the work and legacy of architect Paul Revere Williams through a series of intimate black-and-white photographs.

Ireland gives the reader a vision of Williams that is both universal and highly personal. More than a book of architectural photographs, Regarding Paul R. Williams is the result of one artist’s encounter with another, connecting across different generations within the same city.

Ireland was recently interviewed for LATimes.com as part of Image issue 11, “Renovation,” where the publication explores the architecture of everyday life — and what it would look like to tear it all down. Read the whole issue below after link.
