Next Wed Jan 24 at 7pm, I'll be speaking about I PLEDGE, my sibling-led arts collective House of Trees' exhibition of eleven political and poetic flags created in collaboration with Palestinian-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye. One year ago, HOT showed the banners I made in collaboration with Anne Carson around the Women's March at NYU Kimmel Gallery. This January with I PLEDGE, HOT continues creating artful political action through year two of the current administration, seeking to inspire both individual and social change through poetry and street activism, along Laguardia and West 3rd St, NYC.

The handcrafted banner that I created in collaboration with Anne Carson is still up as the large-scale billboard above Socrates Sculpture Park, as the second of two Broadway Billboard works displayed this cycle.
Make sure to catch it and the next cycle of banners in Times Square as part of a collaboration between Times Square Arts, House of Trees, and The Watermill Center. We'll be opening in March and featuring Tania Bruguera, Laurie Anderson & A.M. Homes, and HOT & Naomi Shihab Nye.

The picture above is from the ZAZ10TS Video Art Exhibition I was a part of alongside other amazing artists from Dec 4 2017- Jan 4, 2018! The Scheherazade Project video screened at 41st and Broadway on two billboard-sized screens, and it will screen again at the entrance of 1441 Broadway (10 Times Square), opening Monday Jan 22.
I'm also a New Media Artist-in-residence at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado from Feb 7- Apr 18! Please message me to get together and have studio visits before I leave! I will be back in mid-late March for some exciting upcoming shows I'm a part of to be announced soon.
