About InSITE

The InSITE Fellowship is a highly competitive leadership development program comprised of exceptional graduate students at top universities. InSITE Fellows and alumni make up a global network of entrepreneurs and leaders in technology and venture capital.

InSITE was founded in 1999 with a mission to create a community of passionate leaders who share common values and have the desire, ability, and network to support innovative companies and projects around the nation. We identify talented students from a diverse range of backgrounds and connect them with hand-picked, high-potential emerging companies in a variety of industries. Students meet with founders, identify key challenges and opportunities, set deliverables, and complete semester-long projects that contribute to real growth.

InSITE Fellows

Fellows are selected through a competitive screening process that draws top graduate students in business, law, engineering, design, medicine, and other disciplines at Columbia, NYU, Memorial Sloan Kettering and Weill Cornell in New York, and Harvard, MIT, Stanford and Georgetown in other chapters. Fellows are energized, impact-oriented problem-solvers with a strong bias towards action. They come from diverse backgrounds across venture capital, entrepreneurship, technology, consulting, banking, media, healthcare, law and engineering.

Fellows complete semester-long consulting projects and participate in InSITE’s events and mentorship programming, gaining unparalleled access to a powerful network of over 500 proud alumni working in leading roles at VC firms, emerging companies, and global corporations.

InSITE Companies & Projects

Each semester, the New York chapter of InSITE carries out targeted outreach to top emerging companies in the city. After careful due diligence, the InSITE community selects those projects it sees as most promising and most viable. Companies span a range of industries, including software and hardware, healthcare and life sciences, CleanTech, enterprise services, education, consumer goods, social ventures and financial services. Projects also vary, depending on the individual company’s most pressing need.

In the past, fellows have worked on projects centered around the formation of pitch materials, marketing and brand development, product development, consumer research, and pricing strategy, among others. To date, InSITE companies have raised more than $300 million of disclosed funding and have enjoyed many successful exits.
