GMTWP Alum Ross Baum (Cycle 24) leads a session on Making Your Own Musical Demos

The Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program held its annual alumni and student SESSIONS event earlier this summer inviting all alums and current students to come, reunite with one another and conference (and un-conference) on topics such as: making your own musical demos, creating your own podcasts, writing for television, working as a professional musical director, grant writing basics, and even how to release an album on iTunes. Special events such as a sing-a-long, an opening potluck, and panels on networking strategies and working a day job while trying to write were peppered throughout the weekend. Alums from all over the country revisited their old stomping grounds while current students had the opportunity to meet and learn from those who had graduated before them.
