Janey Feingold

Janey is a writer, director and lyricist for film, TV and live theater. Janey wrote the book and lyrics for REAL PEOPLE THINGS, an original pop musical love story that was featured in the Two River Theater’s plaza players series in July of 2021 and a sold out concert presentation at Feinstein’s 54 Below in February 2022. REAL PEOPLE THINGS originated as Janey’s thesis Musical with her collaborator Bela Konstancja at the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Janey’s musical work has been performed at Rockwood Music Hall, Don’t Tell Mama, Feinstein’s 54 Below and more New York City venues. In 2017, Janey wrote and created the viral teen musical web series CHICKEN GIRLS for the Brat Youtube Network. The series received over 100 million views in the first season alone and is currently in its 10th season. CHICKEN GIRLS was nominated for 2018 and 2019 Streamy Awards. Janey has written, directed and produced short films, music videos, branded content and is currently prepping to direct her first feature film. Janey is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a BA in Film Production, and holds an MFA in Musical Theater Writing at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
