Kevin Wilson, Jr. Wins Gold Medal At 2017 Student Academy Awards

Third year student Kevin Wilson, Jr. won the prestigious Gold Medal Award for Domestic Narrative at the 2017 Student Academy Awards for his film, “My Nephew Emmett."  Winning this honor has made the film eligible for the short-film categories at the 2017 Academy Awards.

Based on a true story, "My Nephew Emmett" follows a 64 year old preacher who tries to proctect his 14 year old nephew, Emmett Till, from two killers out for blood.
