In 2012, NYU partnered with Nikon, Inc. to provide 15 Nikon D800’s with lenses to the Graduate Film Department on permanent loan. Over the years since then, Nikon has expanded the loan to 29 cameras, as well as provided our students, faculty, and staff with on-site training workshops, and taken an active interest to see and learn from the quality work our students are creating with the cameras. This fall, we couldn’t be more pleased to announce to the NYU community that we will continue our relationship with Nikon for the upcoming academic year and will be receiving 15 new camera bodies, upgraded to the D810 model. Nikon cameras will be available to all 2nd year students and above on a walk-in basis starting in the Fall semester, and 1st years will have access starting in December.
