Professor Spike Lee, Artistic Director of the NYU Tisch Graduate Film Program, is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Spike Lee Film Production Fund in support of the following students’ thesis films:
Casiano Hamer - $10,000
Joecar Hanna - $10,000
Kwesi Jones - $10,000
Jason Maselle - $10,000
Christin St. John - $10,000
Kaitlyn Busbee - $13,000 from the Sandra Ifraimova Fund
Professor Spike Lee reviews all the materials himself and was impressed with the submissions this year. Close to $1,000,000 have been awarded since he established the fund in 1989, the year he released Do the Right Thing.
