Grad Film Wins at Palm Springs ShortFest

Thesis students Laurel Parmet, Sontenish Myers and Nick Colia each took home awards at the Palm Springs International ShortFest this summer. Laurel's film "Kira Burning" won Best Student Live Action short 15 Minutes and Under, Sontenish received the Alexis Award for Best Emerging Student Filmmaker for her film "Cross My Heart," and Nick won the Best Student Short for his film "Untitled Short Film About White People."  For more information on the festival and awards visit the announcement at Palm Springs International Film Society.
