Alumna Chloé Zhao's film, The Rider, has been picked up by Protagonist Pictures at the Festival de Cannes where it is screening in the Directors’ Fortnight Program. Zhao wrote and directed the film which was also produced by alumna Mollye Asher. The director of photography for The Rider is alumnus Joshua James Richards.
The Rider follows the true story of Brady Jandreau, a cowboy who must stop riding after an accident, and must deal with losing the thing that gave him purpose.
