In a candid, touching submission to the New York Times, Aline McKenna, the co-creator of the CW show "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," praised Tisch Drama alum Rachel Bloom '09—who stars on the show—for her creativity, development, and process as a collaborator.

"Rachel has often blown me away with her fearlessness," McKenna wrote. "Rachel’s wild creativity stems from her conviction that she is entitled to follow her instincts and express her feelings. This is often cited as a critique of her generation, but, man, I found it refreshing... This openness is a major contributor to Rachel’s 'let’s put on a show and include everyone' vibe."

While at Tisch Drama, Bloom studied in the Experimental Theatre Wing.
