Lisa Milinazzo (Director/Playwright, Theatre, Film): Lisa directed 3D HAMLET (a cinematic/theatrical hybrid) featuring Alec Baldwin, Michael Emerson and Richard Easton (Edinburgh Fringe festival).  Her short film “The Query,” played at Cannes Film Festival & The Garden State Film Festival. She co-produced the award winning film “Rock The Paint,” Wren Court Inc. (winner Tribeca Film Festival, Creative Promise Award, and Montclaire & Garden State Film Festivals: Best Home Grown Feature.) Casting director: “Shades of Gray” (2014) and “Voltereta” (2010) and “So You Like the Neighborhood” (2017).

She directed American Premieres for such illustrious writers as Eve Ensler, Alexandra Gersten and George F. Walker and on many projects, including: “The Collector,” by John Fowles  (59E59th Street); Slain In The Spirit, (writer/director) based on the Andrea Yates story, nominated for 3 awards including best ensemble by Midtown International Theatre Festival & winner, best actor; “Water from the Moon,”  Urban Stages and “Diana and Navy & the Golden Tooth,” by Phoebe Nir and Tomas Doncker , 54 Below. A frequent guest director for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Rep Company where she recently directed the American premiere of The Night Season, Rebecca Lenkiewicz and the award winning play, “Tribes,” Nine Raine.   Lisa is currently directing the world premiere of Miracles Lost and Found, an ensemble performance piece with True Groove performance artist, Marla Mase in Tribeca. She is also helping to develop a new Quincy Long script Vagabond at EST.

Nominated for 2 L.A. Weekly Awards for her production of Found a Peanut in L.A.  In NY she has also directed for Rattlestick Theatre, Connelly Theatre (The Black Monk, her adaptation of Chekhov, starring Marin Ireland), Culture Project, Origin Theatre Company, Capital Repertory, Fundamental Theatre Project, HB Playwright’s Foundation (w/ Amy Wright), Home for Contemporary Art, Alice’s 4th Floor, HERE; Fleetwood;  L.A.: Saint Genesius. She acted & directed with The Actors’ Space Repertory Company for many years and was assistant to artistic director, Alan Langdon.   She teaches “Directing the Actor” classes for NYU and Columbia Graduate film programs. Performance/lectures: Poland, Canada & various theatres in the US. Recipient: Van Ameringen Foundation Grant, Tisch Scholarship and US Rehabilitation Services Fellowship. MA & BFA, NYU.
