Mr. Gets has appeared on Broadway in Amour (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), Macbeth, The Moliere Comedies, and The Story of My Life. Off-Broadway credits include A New Brain, Merrily We Roll Along (Drama Desk nomination and Obie Award), The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Obie and St. Clair Bayfield Awards), Hello, Again, Boys and Girls, Vigil, Allegro, and Steve.

Film and Television credits include "Grey Gardens" and "Confirmation" (both for HBO), "Sex and the City" (the movie), "Elementary", "The Good Wife", "Blue Bloods", "Suits", "Law and Order", and "Caroline in the City".

He has appeared regionally at Yale Rep, Hartford Stage, Westport Country Playhouse, ACT, Williamstown, Pittsburgh CLO, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and the Kennedy Center.

His concert work has taken him from the Hollywood Bowl to Carnegie Hall. He can be heard on many original cast CDs, including Barbara Cook’s Mostly Sondheim, and his solo CD The Journey Home. He has taught at NYU’s New Studio On Broadway and Jacob’s Pillow, and has also conducted master classes all over the country, from Yale to UCLA.
