Mona Stiles

Mona Stiles is a graduate of Sweet Briar College and recieved her Master's degree from Baylor University. Upon earning her M.A., she became a member of the original Dallas Theater Center resident company and an affiliated faculty member of Trinity University in San Antonio. As an actress and director, she has worked in film and television, and on stage in New York and regional theaters, including Circle Rep, Portland Stage, Viginia Stage, and the Cortland Repertory Theatre, where she was associate artistic director. She recieved her Alexander Training at The Mathews School for the Alexander Technique in New York, and has studied the technique under master teachers Christine Batten, Troup and Ann Mathews, Rivka Cohen, and MarjorieBarstow, among others. In addition to teaching privately, she has also developed an introductory course for small groups in the Alexander Technique. Ms. Stiles has taught the Alexander Technique at Circle Rep School and The Marjorie Ballentine Studio, and currently teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate acting programs at he Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.
