Leighton Mitchell

Leighton Mitchell is the Assistant Dean of Capital Planning and Facilities Administration. His responsibilities include institutional master planning, space planning and managing day-to-day facilities operations. Leighton and his team work closely in partnership with the NYU offices of Facilities and Construction Management, Real Estate, Strategic Planning and Design and with the Department of Campus Safety, among others.

Leighton has previously worked as the Managing Director of The School of Drama at The New School, and previously worked for many years in various positions in the Department of Drama at The Tisch School of the Arts, most recently as Director of Production, Facilities and Administration. Leighton holds a BFA from Tisch and a MS in Construction Project Management from the Real Estate Institute at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Service.
