John Osburn

John Osburn (PhD, Performance Studies, NYU) teaches Theater Studies at NYU and has also taught in the Dramatic Literature program and at Vassar College and the New School. He co-founded and directs a program at the Cooper Union that uses theater-based approaches to professional development for undergraduate engineers. His work has appeared in Theatre Studies, Modern Drama, American Journalism, International Journal for the Semiotics of Law, Journal of Business Strategy, Dance Critics Association News, High Performance, ARTLines, The Nation, daily and weekly newspapers, and on osburnt.com, a performance review blog. He does English sub- and supertitles for Spanish language films and plays and translates tango lyrics at whattangomeans.com.
