181 Mercer Street
181 Mercer Street is the largest educational facility on NYU's campus.
The new building has community gathering space, classrooms, a performing arts center, student and faculty housing and study lounges, and an athletic center. Tisch will get new practice, rehearsal, and performances spaces to meet the critical demand for our programs in the Institute of Performing Arts.

181 Mercer is a historic project for the school and a testament to NYU's recognition of the importantce of the arts. Tisch is extremely greatful to the many staff and faculty who worked on this project, especially Larry Maslon Professor in Graduate Acting, who expertly chairs the university-wide Superblock Stewardship Advisory Committee.
