Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Michael R. Jackson (cycle 14) is the recipient of the 2025 William Finn Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre, awarded by Barrington Stage Company on October 27.
Jackson is a Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner for A STRANGE LOOP, and was mentored by the late William Finn, who was a faculty member of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
