Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Mindi Dickstein (cycle 5/faculty) and Anna K. Jacobs (cycle 17) were honored at Theatre Now's Astonishing! Gala 2025 celebrating women and nonbinary musical theatre writers on November 8.
Mindi Dickstein wrote the lyrics for LITTLE WOMEN, which has been produced continuously since its Broadway run in 2005. She is a Jonathan Larson Grant winner, and has been teaching at NYU since 1996.
Anna K. Jacobs is a Jonathan Larson Grant- and Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award-winning composer, lyricist, and book writer. She composed the music and co-wrote the book for TEETH (with Michael R. Jackson).
