Alum Debra Granik was celebrated for her film Leave No Trace, which was nominated for Best Feature, Best Director and Best Supporting Female. At the awards ceremony, Granik accepted the prestigious Bonnie Award. The award, whose inaugural recipient was alum Chloe Zhao, "recognizes female directors with a remarkable body of work that demonstrates their uniqueness of vision and groundbreaking approach to film."
Alumna and Professor Tamara Jenkins was also a nominee for the Bonnie Award, and her feature Private Life was nominated for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Female.
