The musical is set in the gritty underworld of New York City during the 20th Century’s Roaring Twenties. “It is diamond hard, sharp, and beautiful in unusual and unexpected ways,” said New Studio on Broadway founding director Kent Gash, who helmed the production. “I can think of no better musical to showcase students than this celebration of the resilience and fragility of the human spirit.”
