Tisch Drama students seek out opportunities that stretch their creativity. In the 2015 production of "Engaged," a topsy-turvy comedy by W.S. Gilbert, Drama senior Vincent Cooper, left, proactively auditioned for the role of Belinda Treherne, a Victorian ingenue. “I was 'engaged' by Belinda immediately,” said Cooper. “I think it's important to work on things that excite you, even if it pulls against gender or type. So when I received a callback for a different role, I emailed the director and asked to read for Belinda. I'm so glad I did!”
