The soft warmth of sunlight on my skin, prickly grass, the smell of the breeze through a window screen, distant sunsets, and cold rain drops. These are among the feelings I’ve come to appreciate in quarantine. The list, I hope, will go on. This project seeks to abstract moments of solitude and fantasy into sensory experiences by using my immediately accessible surroundings. I have learned to find peace in these moments of solitude and remain present during this transitory time. Still, restricted access to the “outside” has prompted a forced sense of domesticity and leaves longings for liberty to my imagination.
