During the quarantine period which I couldn’t return to China, I stayed with my aunt’s family in Winchester, Massachusates, and documented the depressed condition of the local stores. I intentionally incorporated the reflection of the window in the photographs, presenting both the interior view and the street view. Using those reflections of street view as well as myself, I also tried to emphasize my visual perspective of peeping into each store. The emptiness and the sluggish during the quarantine period are very unusual for the United States. Thus, I believe it is very interesting and worthwhile to record this special time of the place where I temporarily settled.
