As technology becomes more integrated into our everyday lives, machinery and natural life are set as antagonists struggling for total supremacy. Climate change has caused irreparable damage to the planet and many fear an imminent technological takeover that will strip humanity of its agency, leaving us powerless in the face of the machine.
It is inevitable that technology will continue to alter our world’s mesh ––however, a dystopia is not predetermined, nor definite. While we cannot reverse the damage, we can mend it. ""Biomimicry"" is a utopian illustration of a solution to the climate crisis where natural life and machinery can exist not only peacefully, but symbiotically. With the digital space becoming unignorable, our lines of what is truly “natural” are blurred. Instead of rejecting this idea, embracing it may provide an alternative solution, one that may be much more feasible than it seems.
