In 2012, Tisch Drama premiered a program now called One-Day Plays, a collaboration between the departments of Drama and Dramatic Writing, curated by Daniel Spector. Student actors and directors are paired with a playwright, who writes a short work on an assigned theme. After a two-hour rehearsal, the piece gets a staged reading. All this in the space of a day.
