Jack Kyser is a 2013 graduate of NYU, where he was a Dean's Scholar and film major. He is currently in pre-production on his new film "Harvey’s Last Night on the Avenue,” after having worked for Emmy-winning filmmaker Nancy Buirski for over three years (including as an associate producer and assistant editor on her film "By Sidney Lumet," which premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.) He recently starred in the leading role in Alex Fofonoff's feature film "Blood and Thunder." His previous five films have screened at numerous film festivals nationwide over the last several years. He received the 2012 Sony Electronics Scholarship from Tisch during his junior year, as well as the Emerson Scholarship from Tisch. He interned for a year-and-a-half at Martin Scorsese's Sikelia Productions, and served on the Tisch New Theatre Executive Board. During his four years at Austin High School, he performed in twenty-three plays and won fourteen Best Actor or All-Star Cast awards at all levels of UIL competition, and advanced to Nationals competition in Monologue, Duet Musical and Shakespeare performance. He has written a monthly film column for Austin Family Magazine since 2004.
