Myman has worked extensively as a senior creative executive and producer in the television industry. His background covers the development and production of comedy, drama, animation, unscripted and long form. Most recently he was president of Rocket Science Productions which sold projects to cable and broadcast networks, including Sons of Tucson for Fox.
He was a senior vice president of comedy for Columbia-TriStar/Sony, then vice president of Creative Affairs for HBO with specific responsibilities for HBO Independent Productions that created Everybody Loves Raymond.
He began his career at ABC in comedy development working on such shows as Roseanne and Home Improvement. He then joined Carsey Werner Company, developed Third Rock from the Sun and executive produced Men Behaving Badly, Townies, and the animated series God, The Devil and Bob. For the latter project he was also responsible for creating an animation company with production in the Philippines and the U.S.
Prior to his career in entertainment, Myman was a senior executive, editor and reporter in the newspaper industry. His last position was as editor in charge of all news operations at the Orange County Register (CA) where he led the paper to its first Pulitzer Prize.
He currently serves on the Library Advisory Board at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a degree in English Literature and a Masters Degree in Journalism. He has served as a director of the Stroke Association of Southern California, as a member of the Television Executives Peer Group Committee of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and as a juror of the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival Film Commission.
