"Las Calles Que Hablan" tells the story of Yulier Rodriguez, a Cuban painter, whose passion for creating helped him overcome the difficulties of being an artist. His work, both on canvas and on walls, depicts the challenges of daily life for Cubans, and reflects his outlooks on his country. "Las Calles Que Hablan" has received several awards in short film competitions and has been screened in festivals in Canada, Bucharest, and U.S.
Made during her study abroad term in Cuba in the spring of 2016, director Vida Lercari is a 3rd year Photography and Imaging major.
"Las Calles Que Hablan" has been featured in a growing number of competitions including the Spotlight Documentary Film Awards, among others.
