In my new series “Inked,” I will connect one-on-one with tattoo collectors and artists about what it means to be a heavily inked person using photography and video as my primary artistic medium. I aim to get in-depth insights from these individuals as we go through the motivations behind their tattoo choices, how they have been treated in society, and much more. I want to understand their journey, perspective, and what it means to be a heavily tattooed person living in America. This project is very personal because being heavily tattooed is what I want to be in the next 10 or 20 years. This project acts as a personal journal for myself, fueling my courage to become who I want to be and look like.
