"In our everyday life, we perceive the world around us through the reflection of light. The light reflected from each object dictates the colors and shapes we see. But what if we could exert absolute control over light? We could then transcend the limitations of physical matter to create visions that exist only in our imagination. In this project, I explore this concept by manipulating light using carefully selected color gels. My aim is to paint shapes out of the intangible and create a unique “make-up” effect on the model’s face.
This project is not just an experiment with light and color; it is an exploration of visual perception and aesthetics. By manipulating light under various conditions, I seek to demonstrate how light shapes our understanding of the world, creating a unique visual experience in the process. This approach breaks the boundaries of traditional makeup and portrait photography, transforming the model’s face into a canvas for light and shadow interaction. Here, colors and shapes flow and transform, challenging and expanding our understanding of beauty and expression."
