Eureem Shin, from Seoul, Korea, has a background in vocal music, having studied it from a young age through her undergraduate studies. She pursued music education and has extensive performance experience in opera, choir, and solo recitals.

The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted her musical activities, leading her to support her painter mother's administrative work, exhibition directing, and media creation. Currently, she is involved in a project to exhibit her mother's work at the 60th Venice Biennale. With her experience in music, performance, and visual arts, she is dedicated to curating art exhibitions that convey the essence of art.

Why PS @ NYU?

I chose to study Performance Studies to explore the interdisciplinary connections that emerge when visual art, music, and performance intersect. I want to learn from and engage with diverse perspectives and study the relationship between art and humanity, focusing on their mutual influences through humanities and anthropology.
