Ash Heffernan (they/she) was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She studied Performance Studies and Dramatic Art at UNC Chapel Hill and then studied as an apprentice at Portland Playhouse, a regional theatre in Oregon. They worked as a professional actor in Portland, OR until relocating to Brooklyn, NY in 2023.

Why PS @ NYU? 

I fell in love with Performance Studies in undergrad. It satisfies my love of research and my passion for creating. I love intertwining my theatre background with seeking an understanding of the world around us, cultural and political movements, and insights of the self.
