Course Migration FAQs

When will content migrate?

A self-service migration feature within NYU Classes will be available mid-to-late November. Faculty members and/or school administrators will be able to migrate content and select courses to migrate to Brightspace on-demand.

Apart from the self-service utility, a bulk migration of two years worth of course content will be done over the next few months, starting in December 2020/January 2021.

A detailed timeline will be provided soon.

In addition to the above, an on-demand feature for requesting courses older than the two-years, that is migrated, will be put in place.

General FAQ

Who do I contact to set up Brightspace?

Faculty that want to use Brightspace for a semester, can submit a request to detailing their course information (e.g. FMTV-UT 1000 - 001) for course creation. If they have several sections for a course, they should specify if they want separate course sites for each section or all grouped into one course site.
