Yes! The project team is working with school representatives to review content migration. For specific questions, please reach out to your instructional technology lead (Google Doc—NYU NetID/password may be required).
A self-service migration feature within NYU Classes will be available mid-to-late November. Faculty members and/or school administrators will be able to migrate content and select courses to migrate to Brightspace on-demand.
Apart from the self-service utility, a bulk migration of two years worth of course content will be done over the next few months, starting in December 2020/January 2021.
A detailed timeline will be provided soon.
In addition to the above, an on-demand feature for requesting courses older than the two-years, that is migrated, will be put in place.
Content for courses taught in fall 2019 onwards will automatically migrate. Content prior to fall 2019 will be migrated using the on-demand feature.
Content prior to fall 2019 will be migrated using the on-demand feature. NYU will retain NYU Classes archives of the past seven years.
You will have access to NYU Classes through the end of 2021. All NYU Classes content will be archived and available upon request.
Student content is not part of the migrated content.
As a best practice, before you start the self-service migration process, you can clean up your NYU Classes course (e.g., remove any information or content that you don’t want to migrate over, tidy up your "Resources" folder, etc.)
