Logline: After suffering a nervous breakdown, a forensic pathologist returns to her small Kansas hometown and must work with her mother, a local cop, to investigate a violent serial killer.
Bio: Born on Halloween, Nyssa grew up on a steady diet of horror, science fiction, and true crime—all major influences on her work as a screenwriting major at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her script Beast of Prey won the 2017 Fusion Film Festival award for Best Undergraduate Hour-Long Pilot, and she is a 2016 recipient of the Pzena Scholarship for Screenwriting. Her current work includes projects in the genres of horror, historical drama, and science fiction, as well as in multiple mediums including film, television, and graphic novels. In addition to her writing, Nyssa works as a special effects makeup artist and painter, and currently resides in New York.
