Promenade is a campy, clever critique of the 1 percent, written by the late, great María Irene Fornés known as the “mother of the avant-garde theatre.” First performed at the Judson Memorial Church in 1965, it won an Obie Award for best musical. Learn more and get tickets.

Promenade is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.

Meet Melissa Crespo, our Spring Artist in Residence 

To kick off the spring, Tisch Drama is proud to welcome New York City-based theatre director Melissa Crespo as our artist in residence, known for her work directing new plays, musicals, and opera. Crespo's residency culminates in the TISCH DRAMA STAGE production of the musical Promenade. We recently caught up with Crespo to discuss the project, her evolution as an artist, and collaborative style of directing. Read it here
