Sam Helfrich is currently working on a semi-staged production of Haydn’s Creation with the Pittsburgh Symphony. It will be his third collaboration with the symphony, and a fourth one, Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, will premiere in February 2019. Sam is also working on a new multimedia opera, Permadeath, set in the world of competitive gaming. It will premiere in Boston in fall of 2018. His production of The Summer King, at Pittsburgh Opera, will travel to Detroit in the spring with a new cast. Susan Hilferty is in production for Richard Nelson’s Illyria at the Public Theatre. Illyria is a play about our community – one held together by the simple and incredibly complicated belief that the theater, and the city, belong to all of us. She is also working on Turn Me Loose, celebrating the Civil Rights activism of the late Dick Gregory who was the first Black comedian to expose white audiences to racial comedy at the Wallis Annenberg Center in LA. She is designing La Traviata at the Met, which, though it opens in December 2018, is in production now. Susan is in pre-production for An Ordinary Muslim at New York Theatre Workshop. She is currently working with alumni Christine Jones ‘92, Jason Ardizzone-West ‘12, Ilana Breitman ‘16, Mark Koss ‘13, Tricia Barsamian ‘07, Sarita Fellows ‘08, Dina Abd el-Aziz ‘15, and Glenna Ryer ‘13.

The production is directed by Seema Sueko with Set Designer Wilson Chin, Costume Designer Ivania Stack, and Sound Designer Roc Lee. Actors include Hal Linden, Pearl Sun, Maboud Ebrahimzadeh and Rafael Untalan.

Christine Jones is currently working on the NYC production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child along with Brett Banakis. She is also designing La Traviata for the Metropolitan Opera's 2019 Season, and has recently begun a new project - The Cher Show - which she will co-design with Brett Banakis.

Peter Nigrini recently produced Lucia di Lammermoor at the Santa Fe Opera and Ain’t Too Proud: The Temptations at the Berkeley Rep. His upcoming projects include The SpongeBob Musical at the Palace Theater and White Card by Claudia Rankine at A.R.T.

Paul Steinberg M Butterfly opens October 26th at the Cort Theater on Broadway. That same week, rehearsals begin for Semiramide at Covent Garden and for The Twilight Zone at the Almeida Theater in London.
