Tisch Represents is a community of Tisch alumni dedicated to elevating underrepresented voices in television and film. We offer year-round Community Events and an annual Tisch Represents LAB. Our Community Events include classes, panels, roundtables, scene nights, and co-working days. Our LAB is a collaborative project developed by a small group of writers, directors, and actors and is mentored by established showrunners, producers, and directors.
We believe that career development is best fostered through collaboration. Our community and programming are interdisciplinary and intergenerational. We produce events and projects where emerging, mid-career, and established alumni can work together and build long-lasting professional relationships. We believe that by creating together and then sharing that work with a wider network of industry professionals, we are providing a unique opportunity for our alumni to make connections, make art, and make our Tisch community stronger.
We define “underrepresented” as any person who identifies as a Person of Color, LGBTQIA, a Woman, and/or a Person with a Disability. Our community includes underrepresented Tisch alumni artists and their Tisch alumni allies.
Tisch Represents is a volunteer run community. We are supported by NYU Tisch School of the Arts Alumni Relations.
