B.S. in Classical Archaeology, Chemistry, and Studio Art, New York University.
Associated studies in Forensic Anthropology, University of Texas, Dallas. Background in early childhood development, outdoor education, and youth counseling with the YMCA of Dallas-Fort Worth.

A native Texan, his painting, drawing, and photography are inspired by landscapes, ecology, flora and fauna, natural processes such as erosion, migration, climate change, esp. of the greater Southwest U.S.

Interests and hobbies include documentary film making, photography, physical sciences, computer technologies, rock climbing, horsemanship, international football, mythology and ancient cultures, science fiction, cooking, kayaking, and pub trivia.

Edgar takes an active role in the student-life community at NYU and serves as a board member of the Phi Chapter Association of the Zeta Psi Fraternity of North America at NYU.
