Marc Juris

A six-time Emmy-award winning TV executive and producer with experience in broadcast, cable and syndication. Marc Juris has overseen development and production of both scripted and unscripted programming in a wide variety of formats and genres, including documentary, docusoap, scripted drama, comedy, talk, game and live award shows.  He has successfully launched or re-branded some of the industry’s most successful cable networks including AMC, fuse, CourtTV and truTV. 

Today, as President and General Manager of WEtv, Juris is responsible for all aspects of the network’s creative and business functions including long and short-term planning, strategy, original program development and production, scheduling, operations and all marketing, advertising and promotion efforts.

Prior to WEtv, Juris was EVP/Chief Operating Officer of truTV, where he led the reinvention of CourtTV into truTV and created a top ten network in less than four years.  He was responsible for over 300 hours of original programming each year, with 30 unique series like Hardcore Pawn, Impractical Jokers, Storage Hunters, Op Repo, Full Throttle Saloon and South Beach Tow.

Before joining Turner, Juris held several positions at Rainbow Media Holdings (now AMC Networks). As president of FUSE Networks, he led the rapid growth and rebranding of the former MuchMusicUSA. Juris was SVP Original programming and later General Manager of AMC, where he developed and implemented the network’s strategic re-branding, along with its seamless transition to an ad-supported network.

Juris is a graduate of Syracuse University, a member of NATAS and voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
